Wild how programmers can throw more system resources at a problem instead of making the underlying components faster. I guess it's easier to grow than optimize?
@mauve I think about this daily. I once was a Ruby programmer, and felt all superior when I moved to Elixir which is somewhat faster than Ruby (generally). Then again, the BEAM is one of the slowest virtual machines available, so maybe Haskell next? But Haskell is one of the slowest compiled languages available...
