What if web pages had thr equivalent of a "gas fee" where they were limited by how much they could execute and if they ran out it stopped. I wonder if enforcing it on ads would lead to a bit less bloat.
@mauve a similar mechanic already exists on the web, though in a limited capacity! background tasks api allocates a certain amount of time for your task to run. there's a method that returns the remaining time in milliseconds, which it can use to make sure it exits before running out.
