@ellyxir I'm guessing it's more about liability and checking a box so it's harder to sue rather than safety :P
@mauve@mastodon.mauve.moe honestly, at least in france, i think people cant be arsed. i think there are safety tests in workplace offices but i dont know if there is a screaming alarm. not where i worked at least. but ya, it probably is harder to sue. not sure how hard it is to sue in Canada.
@mauve@mastodon.mauve.moe funny , ever since moving to europe, i haven’t experienced a single fire alarm test. also- i haven’t burnt down either but i know about survivorship bias
