great sci-fi epic detailing shapers (biomod-style humans?) and mechanists (hardcore merging w/ machines) and the conflicts btw them from the pov of the protag

@mauve I'm almost done with the second book in @adapalmer 's Terra Ignota series. It's hard sci-fi, except for it's main plot device :D

@mauve I recommend Never Let Me Go and Klara and the Sun, both from Kazuo Ishiguro. These books are very well-written but the sci-fi part is only the background of the stories. (And the transhumanism theme is present there.)
