It means all of my competitors "slow down" while I scramble frantically digging through junk in secret to find something impressive and terrifying enough to keep this parade float from tipping over.

Like... I think of myself as rather naive. Social skills, trickery and subtilely have always been hard for me. But, this is just... all very obvious? If I can get it everyone must, right?
@futurebird a lot of neurotypicals have trouble identifying psycopaths and sociopaths until their mask drops or they really mess up. 🤷 They just aren't looking at what's happening or picking up on patterns beyond the surface level.
