I don't think I fully understand why every Lisp programmers I know shills for Emacs, this seems at least a little at odd with the nature of Lisp, the language begs to be used with a structural editor, not edit a bunch of chars, Lisp is symbolic isn't-

@mauve I'm looking atm! I've started writing my lispjam game with slime, but it fucking sucks I'm still chasing names all over the place. I'm wondering if maybe I can't throw my project into Medley, edit it there, and then take out again..

@neauoire Which medly is this? Slime seemed neat but emace just seems like too much for me to want to switch 😅 It seems inescapable for lisp dev. @cwebber Any structural editors you could recommend?

@mauve @neauoire I use guile + geiser + smartparens + rainbow-delimiters + highlight-parentheses

But @dthompson is working on a web-based structural editor for Guile, blogpost coming soonish codeberg.org/spritely/hoot-ide/
