@pawpower OMG It's so frustrating how many drinks have artificial sweetener added in there without even being labelled as "diet" or "sugar free" or whatever. They shove in a bunch of sucralose right along side sugary beverages for no reason I can see. It'd be nice if there were more options that had no sweeteners at all. 😅
@pawpower 100% agreed. I've been enjoying getting bottles of unsweetened tea from my local Chinese grocery store. Not sure if you have one nearby but it could be worth investigating. Sucks that restaurants are less likely to have options that aren't made by major sugar pushing drink companies though.
@mauve Sadly our Asian grocery store is thoroughally Americanized in the drinks section. Mostly I have spoons to make my own iced tea but not today. But today's misadventure illustrates why i would rather make my own. And I use all kinds of interesting herbs and things so mine taste better.
@pawpower I'll try to manifest cheap but nuanced unsweetend teas to become a tiktok trend for all our sakes. 😸
@mauve It really would! If I want something sweet, I want it sweetened either with sugar, honey, or maple syrup and I want the packaging to be clear about what they use. Here in the United States, at least food manufacturers or restaurants think that things need to either be super sweet or really salty and neither of those things is my jam at all.
