IDK this attitude that "if something is behind a paywall, I don't want to read it" bugs me.

Things that are worthwhile to read take effort to create.

I think it's ok to say "oh, I don't have money for this" or "I already subscribe to a lot of other things" but not this disdain towards compensation for effort.

tl:dr I think paywalls are _fair_ in a world where alternative models for funding quality stuff are rare.

@szbalint I always thought folks complained about paywalls because they don't have spare income for stuff and felt baited by links that don't warn them ahead of time.

Defs agree good work should get paid for.

I wish capitalism wasn't so soul crushing.
