does anyone have any recommendations for email providers with custom domain support that isn’t google workspaces (too business-y) or icloud mail (too apple-y)?

@phoebecodes I use Migadu for hosting. They're pretty straightforward and work with any email client.
I hired etke.cc to do the setup along with my matrix server. You just need a domain and they can help set up the rest. (including all the fancy MX records so that your email server is less likely to go to spam)
