does anyone know of an alternative to bash for which has support for comment text editing keyboard by the things like control z and using your mouse to select text in the prompt to delete?

I can‘t help with the shell but curious if someone does.

But I recommend checking out the micro editor. micro-editor.github.io/
It feels “normal” if you are used to desktop editors, for example ctrl-c to copy, multi-cursor and LSP support.

@Skipper Cool ty, I actually have a setup for text editing that works for me with nano. Micro is super cool and I actually used it for a while years ago but nano was installed by default on most vms and I was too lazy to set up a new editor each time. :P
