@mauve I suspect that this isn't what you meant but the first thing to pop into my head was that I'd have the friend equivalent of /dev/... so like if I wanted to tell Paul something then I could `echo "Hey paul" | /friend/paul`.
I don't know why I'm like this. 🤷

@trevorflowers I was thinking on the read side with static contents. I love this idea a lot! I wish registering filesystems in userspace was more common for apps TBH.
