Honestly open source stuff is a gift. Every time a stranger fixes a bug just cause I brought it up in an issue tracker I feel a bit of comradery. Also when I finally get time to fix or review fixes for random modules I maintain in my spare time.
@mauve I get so happy when I can help fix other peoples stuff, either by just opening an issue or do a PR. And when other people do that to some of my libraries. And then it's the added happiness of understanding that other people are actually using what I created or maintain.
