A n outproxy conceals your IP and creates the connection to the "clearnet" site on your behalf, one of the only ways to make sure that your tab is using the outproxy is to check if it is your own IP or the service making the request.

To verify that the search in that tab is being handled by the outproxy, you can compare IP and DNS using BGP Tools bgp.tools/.
Outproxy function is not within scope of I2P's network design.

@sadiedoreen Yeah also folks should make sure to have WebRTC and a bunch of other JS features disabled on their browser to avoid sites stealing your IP through other means.

Video formats should also be avoided since there's been ways to leak your IP from those circumstances as well.

Generally this doesn't matter as much for browsing regular websites. Mostly important if you're doing stuff that governments would want to track.
