@mauve in high school many of my typos technically were computer glitches: the school had a bunch of 386s with Windows 95 and MS Word, and low enough specs that my normal typing speed would fill the event buffer before anything appeared on screen. My family's home computer was even lower spec but could handle my maximum typing speed because it wasn't trying to also run an OS.
