I appreciate it when stores/orgs have masks on offer and gentle signs "we appreciate it if you CHOOSE to wear a mask" create the tipping point of permission. Under such mild suggestions everyone has on a mask nearly always.
No one wants to be the only person in a mask. No one wants to be the only person without. Humans are social animals.
It could have been so simple.
With the slightest suggestion from agencies of public health everything could be different.
@futurebird My partner and I always wear a fresh KN95 when we go inside and sometimes I wonder if folks find it strange given how few people bother any more. Generally I never bother with the whims of the majority and just do whatever feels aligned with my personal preferences so I haven't felt any pressure not to wear one.
@futurebird then again I was wearing masks before the pandemic so I may just be a weirdo in general :P
