@metasyn Yeah I've tried it before. 😁 TBH the "modes" and all the extensions end up being more than I want to deal with. I generally prefer something as minimal as possible and since my muscle memory is geared towards GUI text editing keyboard shortcuts vim (and emacs) end up getting in the way. Defs appreciate that people enjoy their editors though.
I ended up getting nano to behave more or less like a graphical text editor which is the only reason it works for me. https://github.com/RangerMauve/nanorc
