@mauve we always found them to be, yeah. it's not that effort didn't go into the CGI, but at the end of the day a digital effects artist can do more or less anything the director can coherently describe... and without limitations there are no reference points that make things cool or different from each other, if that makes sense
@ireneista It'd be fun if there was a trend in cgibto make it look like unsophisticated practical effects. Like million dollar compute clusters rendering a shitty costume made of cardboard
