@mauve I tried using it as my main shell, because I was tired of zsh's creepy configuration and endless plugins, and because transient prompt is implement in Nushell out of the box.

The language is nice, so I moved all my bash scripts to it. However, my gnu coreutils skills are holding me back as I just do things faster with them (until it requires something real big, than I write a nu script)

It also quite unstable, so scripts might stop working in 6 months

@3timeslazy Good insight, ty.

I find I don't really need all the data manipulation stuff and my raw bash config has been serving me well. Likely I won't boot into it but I might use it for exploring APIs/data more.

@mauve@mastodon.mauve.moe i would love to try nushell also. i feel like it’ll be painful somewhere between switching keyboard to dvorak and moving mouse to opposite hand. but rewards might be greater.

@ellyxir So far it was pretty straightforward for me since I don't use all that many shell commands. What I'd be really curious to see is whether they can make grep or sed nicer to use :P
