Anyone else been seeing an uptick in email spam wanting to "invest" in your "industry"?
@mauve I noticed a significant uptick. All of the recent ones that I have gotten seem to be some flavor of scam, though some of my business partners have gotten a few that seemed to be from actual M&A companies
@wrstscrnnm6 The thing that ticks me off is how obvious it is they just scraped the company name + email and shoved it into a template. Like, they can't even name the industry they're supposedly "investing in". 🙄
@mauve seriously! Couldn't they also scrape _that_ just to make us feel better?

@mauve we regularly get spam offering to "buy" our cooperative which is hilarious because it is a legal impossibility
