@brandon Oh! The vOICe part isn't relevant. I just care about the headless raspi use case. From there I'll either use Orca or my own screen reader setup to navigate apps via the accessibility tree. Maybe a "screen optional" setup so I can connect my display glasses if I really need to see something?

i hate how i google something ....... and what comes out is probably going to be either content farm slop or ai generated slop

@ellyxir My take is you shouldn't stop trying but have a script or a persona ready for the next occurrance. It's annoying but if people want a performance it can be worth giving them one just to get it over with. Or fuck em for not accepting you as you are I guess?

IMO your track record and public presence is a good start to showing what you bring 🤷

Windows helpfully identified it as a keylogger and screamed bloody murder as soon as it noticed the process. :P

C++ is fine, tbh. One of the first langs I learned even though I haven't mastered it. My first *real* program was a thing that would capture key presses and rewrite your text so you can type like a troll.

Are folks making interesting programs entirely from REPLs? I use a JS REPL whenever I do math or want to manipulate some JSON for codegen or transforming some strings. That's about it!

For real I'm thiiiiiiiis close to doing somthing with lisp. I'm warning yah!

@brandon Dang, Kimi K2 looks pretty decent. The other seem to be failing the clock test spectacularly.

@brandon Yeah it just sucks when some information is *only* available via this path. I'm almost tempted to purchase access to one of those scraper networks used by "AI Agents" so I can get plain text pulled from sites and skip the bloat.

@brandon Hmm, yeah that would make it harder to reuse existing applications. One gross thing I found is that chromium won't even enable the accessibility tree unless it detects a process named `orca` running. 😅

Do you have a long form writeup of your hardware somewhere? I've been leaning towards using bluetooth audio to make it more simple to get new peripherals added/removed.

At least with this guide I won't need a real display and can fake it. techesoterica.com/future-ready

this old nintendo ds wasn't turning on

I removed the cartridge from the gameboy advance cartridge slot, blew on the cartridge, put it back on

now the nintendo ds turns on.

@scott I don't think the responses in the thread are too bad tbh. It could be going way worse! Hopefully there will be a migration to a stronger scheme eventually. Even just deriving part of the IV from somewhere.

Womp womp. is not great. On a positive note, I managed to notice this by reviewing the code myself before I searched for an issue!

@jj_3 I really want to make windows/mac/linux/ios equivalent libraries some day 😸

Made this thing a few years ago to simplify setting up wifi hotspots for apps to network together. Click a button and you either join an existing one or make a new one.

@gatesvp I think it's getting more popular over time. It's harder this year because of the artificial RAM shortage due to OpenAI screwing everyone over.
