@fredy_pferdi Maybe? I configured the parameters according to what the README suggested. Sadly I'm not sure if I can improve template configs at this time since that's being handled inside ollama. though I had similar issues with whatever templates the OpenRouter endpoints had before this.
@roknrol Yeah agreed cold turkey could be viable. Do you think you could pair it with being out in nature or something to reduce your access to cigs and just get out of the routine? I found changing my environment such that the vice became more inaccessible has helped in the past.
Also agreed re: running in place. It's so much easier to incorporate it in a routine if it has a function outside of "exercise". I gotta figure out how to integrate weight training still. Maybe weighted cuffs?
@mauve Perhaps the observer effect in quantum physics can be explained by archaean ad tracking systems 🤔
@dougmerritt What does the research say on the feeling of being amputated and having phantom limbs when your digital extension is severed? 🤔
@Colophonscrawl 'i had an archon come to me, huge guy, made of an infinite hellscape of rotting insectoid bodies, had tears in his eyes, and he told me, sir, with you in the universe b, we could be unfolding bigger and more beautiful ruin than anyone's ever seen. i believe it! and perhaps you would all need to be given new eyes to comprehend the horrors we will, maybe we will be unfolding in the future, who knows'
I feel like this whole Anthropic export ban thing should be a wakeup call to anyone outside the US that if you've been newly developing a dependency on a proprietary US cloud service the government could decide to restrict export access to at any moment, you've made a strategic error and should probably reconsider that.
@dougmerritt @aartaka usually put both the image and text into a container, set position relative on the container and whatever sizing is needed to fit the image, then position absolute the text and have top or bottom set to 0px (or a margin w/e) and call ot a day. 🤷 Also usually I just put it the title attribute since I set those for screen readers and make mouse users hover over it to see the text if I need to be minimal :P
@dougmerritt @aartaka Like, without css too?
Even though I don't have implants I can feel myself being a sort of cyborg already. The digital extensions of my self are similar to physical tools, but they're always there. More like a clothing item or sensory organ than a hammer I only bring out when needed.
Then I had the horror where the only place I could express this thought aloud was down because I was out of disk space again. 😭 A whole other severing of my exoself.
@fredy_pferdi I found their tool call capabilities to also be lacking. It works way faster than dense models but I think the percentage of bullshit it adds to the context makes it moot relative to tighter contexts with smarter models. 🤷
remind yourself of who you are.
remind yourself of what you want.
remind yourself of what you're doing.
remind yourself of what you carry with you inwards,
and what you carry out.
and most importantly
remind yourself of the difference between your self and other, because if you let the other past that difference, the self will be lost.
then seal your intent and your purpose, and then you can engage with the demon summoning or whatever the fuck horseshit you're wasting six counties' worth of electrical output to do.
@roknrol Engineering sounds generally useful. Hope it's fun and scifi!
OMG yeah smoking is a rough one. What's your strat for it? gum or cold turkey?
Agreed re small changes. My mantra has been "something is better than nothing" for years and it helps get through the big daunting tasks. 🫂
I hear running regularly can help with habit dropping too? Hard to make a schedule sometimes though. I just take the stairs (~10 floors) and it's already helped a ton.
@brandon Oh oh, vt100 like a physical terminal? Hardcore.
Occult cyberpunk. Yap with me about decentralized systems, wearable computing, and biohacking.
