uBlock Origin has the potential to save the average global Internet user more than 100 h annually. The energy conserved if everyone in the United States used the open source ad blocker would save over 36 Americans lives per year if it were to offset coal-fired electricity generated-based pollution.
Getting acquainted with a new codebase is like putting on one of those costumes with a dozen pieces attached with little belts and buckles. Gotta figure out which side is up and where the hands are supposed to go.

Low key contemplating writing a new encrypted p2p chat thingie to aggregate messages from other apps but skipping the dependency on append only logs and pre-indexing the data for sparse querying when booting the device 👀

I'm not talking about sex. I'm talking about rent. And the people who see the world through the rent-seeking lens.
Someone, ideally everyone needs to pay tithes to them, they reason. And not for some ongoing service. Not because of any value they create, but because of value they hold. Value that can never be bought and paid off in full. A nation or king might collect tax, why not me they reason.

I hate scrolling long pages with a wheel, and trying to target the 5 pixel wide draggable in modern browsers on modern Windows.

@spiralganglion Hell yeah. Excited to see what you make with it. Back when WASM was still just coming out after ASM.js I did a deep dive to figure out how to do basic things like loops and if statements with WAT. I hadn't done any ASM before so it was a bit of a mindfuck.
