Made a "timeline" of the past ~6 years of me doing p2p web stuff and it's been nice to get a perspective on what the heck I've been doing all this time and to remind myself why I do what I do.
@light I definitely still live in one. :P Neon lights didn't take off but shitty dollar store LEDs do the trick.

When I was a kid in the 90s I somehow learned that someone managed to get DOOM running on a head mounted display. Got infatuated with the idea for ages. Now it's just my life. 🤷

Having to fuck around with the terminal to get my DPI setting right every time also adds to the aesthetic.
Programming peer to peer software on my head mounted display and my weird game console looking computer feels #cyberpunk as heck. The woosh of the lens distortion locking into my vision as I put the glasses on is just like in the movies.
@light I'd describe it as less of a hate and more like the "urge to devour" from Beaststars :P

@rose_alibi Yeah! The role of "seamstress" seems like it could be more valuable in a world where other things are more easily automated. I've been doing more repair to my fave garments lately and they're turning into a mass of patches :P
@rose_alibi Yeah I wonder if the tarrifs and hits to efficient global (exploitation) production will lead to a larger focus on mendable clothes for americans. It's hard to talk about consumerism sometimes because a lot of people are drowning in it without even seeing it IMO.

@adz I'm usually averse to making up new protocols :P If there was an existing url scheme I'd be all over it. I was thinking in this case I could extend the renderer extension and have it intercept the file type from any protocol and render it as a page instead. Does p2panda have url schemes for file transfer? Iirc it's changed backends a bunch in the past few years, right?
@akhileshthite It's something with Undici. I'm guessing it's to do with the conversion from the protocol handler upload data and the request body. Causing busboy parsing errors. 🤷
Looks like my FormData parsing got messed up at some point during an electron upgrade or something. 😅 Now all my file upload examples are messed up.
