@rosano IndexedDB does this and is built into the web. 🤷 That's what I use if I don't need at rest encryption. I usually wrap it in `idb` so that I can get a nice promise based API. Most other "databases" offered on the web are just extra steps on top of this. Turso is also decent but needs more dependency bytes and might not work everywhere.
I really *want* to love Matrix, but their data model and approach to data storage is so annoying from a performance perspective. They pretty much mandate doing full text searches with decryption on every single row which just *does not* scale as you grow your message history / room count. 🤢
I've been thinking about this video once every few months since it first came out.
@squishberry Just tools that militaries use to automate killing people.
@Miaourt Imagine getting into an argument and it just rm-rf's all your memories together.
@ylebre Hmm, you give a pretty compelling argument. 🤔🤔🤔
in my opinion the answer is if a picture is worth a thousand words, you'll actually have to write those words bucko. "studio ghibli style trending on artstation" isn't gonna cut it. use your typing skills for something useful, and better yet, let me read your words directly. stop holding out on us
My setup is weird enough now that I might as well switch to NixOS.
@deersyrup One org didn't allow linux machines to log in so I just spoofed the user agent to force it 😈💜 Sometimes I can just capture the http traffic and do requests manually from CLIs to save the hassle
Occult cyberpunk. Yap with me about decentralized systems, wearable computing, and biohacking.
