@QasimRashid Brazilian here. A lot of people thought it was already lost after the first round and we were going to be fucked, but everyone went to the streets and to social networks like crazy. We all united, the young and the elderly, the students and the workers. For 3 weeks, we ceased all our internal struggles among the leftists and we acted as a single organism. Together, we did what was believed to be impossible, because it never happened before.

@brandon yes! i fully agree. Also the always on audio recording devices like that apple watch. That's kinda why I prefer the removable Xreal camera over the built in cameras that other headsets have. I'm going to keep it in my pouch unless I really need to feed vision into my system (which I expect to be rare)
@brandon any books or articles you could recommend that elaborate on those points?
@brandon Honestly I don't expect to use the 6DoF very often when doing actual work. the 3dof might be fun with a virtual ultrawide since that works well with niri. Longer term I think I'll be using the passthrough from the steam frame (especially so I can see in the dark with IR flashlights when I go walking in the forest and doing urbex). I think I'll mostly be using the camera for computer vision purposes like pulling text off of real surfaces or memorizing stuff.

My friends and I were the only folks under 50 that I could see at the voting booth today. I feel like young people are failing themselves by not doing this bare minimum part of directing our lives.

Oh yeah! Today is the beginning of meeting roulette!
BC (where I am) has not changed it's time. Europe / UK has now fallen back as of yesterday. So +8 / +7 from BC.
And this coming weekend is North American time change. Where BC will be an hour ahead of PT.
My brain hurts already.
Ordered the XReal 1 Pro+ with prescription lenses and the XReal eye camera. I'm pretty excited to have a less janky mic/camera setup for my cyberdeck and the onboard spatial tracking with extra large virtual displays should be nice. We'll see if it gets here in time for my next trip. (probably not)
@pawpower 100% agreed. I've been enjoying getting bottles of unsweetened tea from my local Chinese grocery store. Not sure if you have one nearby but it could be worth investigating. Sucks that restaurants are less likely to have options that aren't made by major sugar pushing drink companies though.
@pawpower OMG It's so frustrating how many drinks have artificial sweetener added in there without even being labelled as "diet" or "sugar free" or whatever. They shove in a bunch of sucralose right along side sugary beverages for no reason I can see. It'd be nice if there were more options that had no sweeteners at all. 😅
