I don't think this upcoming generation is going to give a damn about centralized intellectual property and media.

In this day and age, the simple backstitch feels like the ultimate One Weird Trick (Capitalist) Garmentmakers Don't Want You To Know.
Like, what do you mean I can grab literal pennies' worth of thread and a needle that cost maybe ten cents, turn my cycling glove inside out, sit down with it for five minutes, and all of a sudden the hole that had opened up at the thumb joint is better than when I got it??
Repair is so rad!! Tell your friends. If you don't known how to backstitch a seam back together, ask a friend who does, see if there's a repair cafe in your area, heck, look it up on YouTube. Every repair is one less piece of trash!
My greatest gift to this household has been figuring out how to disable the sound on the microwave.
64 gbs of non expandable storage is brutal 😭
@cwebber They should have made a software patent for HTTP.
Updated some software recently and it actually made it better and not drain my system resources as fast. Who knew that was possible?!
@dan613 Yeah defs make sure folks around you are extra vigilent and listen to them if they say you seem to be off. The side effects on the brain for that one are pretty awful (if they happen).
@dan613 Whatcha getting? I found Adderall had the most convenient tradeoffs.
Not letting myself have an energy drink today. 💪 I'll add more protein to my diet and take it slow instead of maxing out caffeine and sugar.
Should I become a tech larper and focus on style over utility? 🤪
Reading "Half Past Human" and all the casual cannibalism in the story is an *interesting* choice.
A lot of web designers seem to enjoy having a bunch of different fonts and font sizes on a page and I guess I just don't get why that's necessary.

@QasimRashid Brazilian here. A lot of people thought it was already lost after the first round and we were going to be fucked, but everyone went to the streets and to social networks like crazy. We all united, the young and the elderly, the students and the workers. For 3 weeks, we ceased all our internal struggles among the leftists and we acted as a single organism. Together, we did what was believed to be impossible, because it never happened before.
You can do it too!
I keep forgetting the default for countries is to be harsh on weed and maximize alcohol. 😮💨
@cblgh Exactly! Also a great excuse to bring back fancy coin purses.
Paper money is pretty convenient, but it'd be so much more satisfying to carry a bunch of high value coins.
@brandon yes! i fully agree. Also the always on audio recording devices like that apple watch. That's kinda why I prefer the removable Xreal camera over the built in cameras that other headsets have. I'm going to keep it in my pouch unless I really need to feed vision into my system (which I expect to be rare)
@brandon any books or articles you could recommend that elaborate on those points?
@brandon Honestly I don't expect to use the 6DoF very often when doing actual work. the 3dof might be fun with a virtual ultrawide since that works well with niri. Longer term I think I'll be using the passthrough from the steam frame (especially so I can see in the dark with IR flashlights when I go walking in the forest and doing urbex). I think I'll mostly be using the camera for computer vision purposes like pulling text off of real surfaces or memorizing stuff.
