This feeling of alienation, it is a kind of overwhelming feeling of drowning in something that keeps greeting you like it knows you, but really it can't see you at all. Instead it seeks to reshape you into what it expects you to be with with its gaze.

These things probably make me more upset than I ought to let them.

But it's hard not to see it this way.

Dyslexics have used speech recognition to solve spelling issues ever since speech recognition became available. It used to be standalone speech recognition, not "calling back" to servers that were harvesting your vocabulary, writing, and voice to train AI.

But it was a fight to get speech recognition in schools, in the workplace. Why? Because of ableism. Temporarily "free" genAI founded on stolen data doesn't solve #ableism.

I propose we replace semantic versioning with pride versioning

The tech titans of today are products of the industrial-capitalist mindset.

They think in terms of market dominance, shareholder value, and control.

Even their grand visions-- like Musk’s Mars colonization or Zuck’s metaverse-- are often tainted by a top-down approach that centralizes power and perpetuates inequality.

Stay human. Stay collaborative. You aren’t building empires, you’re building ecosystems.

Say what you will about LLMs, but Aider with Hermes3 sometimes comes up with passable commit messages in just 100x the speed it'd take me to write them.

Is there a non-new age spiritual or snake oil explanation video about what the different brain waves mean? Most folks on youtube that I'm finding seem to be full of shit.

It may be that I'm dumb but it toom me this video to finally understand higherarchical navigable small world networks and how they apply to spatial or higher dimensional indexing

Looks like works fine on Windows 11. Now I'm also more prepared to debug issues if they arise :)

Don't forget: it's almost time to stop writing 2024 on forms and instead drawing a picture of a skull with blood pouring from its eye sockets

Woot, I can compile this older version of chromium from source on my computer 🥰 Gonna take a break to finish off getting HyperGodot uodated then I'm gonna look into getting new protocol handlers into Agregore Mobile

Idea for neural network practice: Neural Hilbert Curves. An autoencoder for x-y positions with a single neuron in the middle. Then I graph the x-y position for continuous values of 0-1 for than neuron and show what the space looks like.

Over a decade of computers not wanting me to be able to compile stuff has helped me build enough intuition to the point that an obscure un-searchable error in a build process was fixed by changing the terminal's character encoding :P

Multiplexing code compilation, university ML signal processing courses, and docs for this Rust based ML framework.

Vacation is going great so far!
