It always sounds so pretentious or paranoid when I post something about this kind of stuff but I've been getting repeatedly intercepted on some of my VPN's exit nodes, with minor websites that I regularly use getting false certs signed by bullshit orgs. And when the exit node is changed, the man-in-the-middle certs go away.

So forgive the tinfoil hat posting but I do believe public notes should be made about this kind of surveillance, even if there are other conceivable explanations.

In this world of modern password cracking, please keep this in mind:

bottoms are NOT CRYPTOGRAPHICALLY SECURE!

but if you are going to acquire your password from them anyway, please use their nonsense spoken sentences when they're flustered, and not the keysmashes

Our capitalist rulers, and the politicians they own, are playing the long game. Since the 1950s they have been working steadily to shift the Overton window, to reduce the influence of labor unions, to boost consumerism, and to concentrate wealth and power in the hands of a few.

A large part of that strategy involves privatizing services that used to be (and should be) public.

They're playing the long game, and they are winning — much to the detriment of you and me and the environment we live in.

If this number is accurate, that means PICO-8 has a bigger game library than the NES. And that also means the PICO-8’s library is competitive with the Commodore 64’s library—which is also huge.

Today I found out that google docs infects html exports with spyware, no scripts, but links in your document are replaced with invisible google tracking redirects. I was using their software because a friend wanted me to work with him on a google doc, he is a pretty big fan of their software, but we were both somehow absolutely shocked that they would go that far.

One thing Anna doesn't lack is ambition:
