Reading through "The Joy of Abstraction" and it's neat so far. I feel like I finally get what a monad is and why it relates to programming after like 15 years of meming about it.

we whipped up a bittorrent swarm that has 200TB of proven storage in like a month by cobbling together everyone's random hard drives. storing 200TB on s3 would cost at least $4.5k per month and would cost $10,000 to download it one time.

Got the Goat Simulator remaster. I love this series so much 🥰
Picovoice would be so great if they didn't have all these restrictions for personal use. Needing internet and tiny amounts of "minutes per month" (for locally processed audio mind you) is unfortunate.
Gotta mute all references to Medium.com on here. Few things fill me with as much rage as articles that bait and switch to "You need to make an account and use an app to read this". Writers that use medium for publishing: Fuck you, but only a little.
