I enthusiastically support this company that claims to be making a real life version of the monster that chases you around the level in any of those janky-ass Playstation 1 lookin' indie horror games.

Thankful to live in a city with a thriving music scene. We're not fancy, but it's plentiful.

Today is a whatever this genre is sort of day.

I love Ottawa and all that but somehow it's always cloudy whenever there's some sort of sky phenomena. Kinda miffed I missed out on meteor shower viewing last night.

Polyamory humor

Gonna start calling monogamous people singlephiles as a slur. 🤪

Snap! Just learned about this new feature called `using` that lets you dispose of resources after you exit a block. Good alternative for needing a `try - finally` expression. Feels like Python in a good way.

I love how my timeline is full of conflicting opinions on a lot of issues. It's fun seeing the similarities within divergence and the divergence within the similar.

My cat just came into my office and started meowing until I followed her to the bedroom where she told me it was time for a nap. Sorry skitty, I gotta merge two highly divergent branches of a codebase. 😿

I didn't see this on here yet.

spending some time on my local model LLM agent since my approach is way more screen reader friendly than pi.dev 🤓

where's the thing you need? here? there? scroll past the spam, past the notifications! did your filters get it? did they put it in the wrong place? did the person respond on another thread? were you left out of the response? who knows! and the stakes couldnt be higher...!

A reminder that mask blocs operate worldwide and make face masks (respirators) available to all who need them: maskbloc.org/

If you're in an area affected by fires and smoke, and need masks but either can't afford them or get them in time, check in with your local mask bloc.

Ever wished you could have multiple independent mouse cursors on your Linux machine? No?

Anyway, turns out Wayland supports that pretty well! Let me tell you what I learned:

Input device on my docked controlling a terminal ssh'd into my portable deck in the other room that's pumping audio into my bone conducting headset for my terminal screen reader. Pulling in services over the local net.

@TheQuinbox Do you have any tips for making git diffs easier to understand? I find even at 80% speed it takes a while to get through them and I end up missing which lines start with a dash or plus. 😅

@cwebber Read the propagator networks paper to try to understand why you feel it's a better foundation for AI than transformers. Is your thought just that propagator networks will make symbolic systems powerful enough to be intelligent some day?

Eschatologists must be having a blast getting to witness one firsthand.

I increasingly resent the term 'social media', because what people call social media now is rarely social media in any meaningful sense.

Like, the Fediverse and to a lesser extent Bluesky still IS social media. You follow people you want to follow, and you interact with them, and a lot of the time they interact back. You make online friends. You forge community..

Everything else is just an automated firehose of digital slurry from people you don't know and will never interact with, or, worse still, Brands(tm).
