I know I've said several times that I don't want to make more social accounts but if MySpace comes back I will 1,000% re-learn HTML and spend all my time over there filling out surveys and changing my profile song every hour.

It's weird that so many languages don't support wrapping text strings over multiple lines by default and use special syntax instead.

I really appreciate places where it's just some single user rooms so people don't need to pick a gender before going in. The extra privacy is nice too.

One of the conclusions I’ve come to from my years of software freelancing is that humans hate tradeoffs.
I don’t just mean that we hate deciding between options when none is clearly the best. I mean that people hate admitting that tradeoffs •exist•. We desperately want there to be a best option, a correct answer, a clear choice that will satisfy our egocentric need to believe we are objectively In The Right. 🧵
Main reason I'm going this route is that the sherpa-onnx library is supposed to be able to use my Rockchip NPU on my machine to speed things up.

I think I've gotten to the point where the default voices in espeak-ng aren't cutting it anymore. Gonna try cloning my own voice to speak back to me via sherpa-onnx and pocket TTS.
Cool side effect of running a battery powered cyberdeck is I can give a number for how much percentage bits of work take. e.g. compiling a big ish C++ project took like 20% of my battery

I enthusiastically support this company that claims to be making a real life version of the monster that chases you around the level in any of those janky-ass Playstation 1 lookin' indie horror games.
Thankful to live in a city with a thriving music scene. We're not fancy, but it's plentiful.
