Yep, I'm about to be that person again. Please remember to put alt text on your audio as well as your images. Deaf people matter, too. "A silly song" or "game sounds" is not helpful, the same way "a cute bird" or "a funny meme with a cat" aren't helpful as image alt texts. Blind or sighted, please do this. I'm not even someone who really needs audio alt texts and I'm still sad when I see missing or unhelpful alt text. It doesn't have to be some elaborate thing, you don't have to be a perfect writer or capture every minute detail, just describe what you're hearing. I always liked the thing of "describe it like you're talking to a friend who can't access it," and I think that's applicable here just as much as it is to images. And no, it is not just deaf people who benefit from audio alt texts.

Gentle reminder, when someone is sharing some small piece of resistance they have done, DO NOT SHIT ON IT. Do not tell them it isn't enough or it's still bad because blah blah other stuff...
Everyone is tired and overwhelmed and trying to find some accessible way they can push back. Cheer that!
Celebrate the small; celebrate the imperfect.
No single action is gonna solve everything, but a whole bunch of small actions start the sea change.
Don't punch down when we all need lifting up.

I really wish blind people whos only disability is blindness would remember and keep at the front of their minds that "just because something talks, or makes noises,' does not by default make it accessible. And when someone who is blind tells you that this talking device/tool/thing isn't accessible that you don't immediately start yelling, name calling, etc. This shit is SO EXHAUSTING! There are people who "require" braille. Not because it's nice, or fun, or cool.... but because without it *nothing* is accessible. So when we say "This game" or "this tool" or smart speakers in general aren't accessible, it's facts. I'm going to go touch grass now.
Why do all the straight boys look the same these days? Like all the same haircut and same style of clothing 💀

This has been most useful when I was jumping over a fense near a waterfall and my phone managed to pop out of my pocket on the other side. Would have lost it there if I didn't know to go right back to it :P
I got an extra #cyborg sense called "Did I forget my phone somewhere" which triggers when my bluetooth headset randomly disconnects.
I let my local model read whatever it wants and use a bunch of "non destructive" bash commands, but I review everything else it tries to do. So far so good. Maybe my closet box is too dumb to bother doing fancy sandbox escapes.

last night, while sharing my screen to the people of the queer computer club, I typed "new" into my url bar. instead of autocompleting to "news.ycombinator.com" it completed to "newgrounds.com." felt like my soul had been weighed by anubis and it was found to be lighter than a pound of feathers
OK, I admit it: it'd be convenient if #JavaScript classes could have decorators on methods. Memoization of async methods would be so much cleaner and more reusable if we had them.
The plus side of the LLM boom is that demonology is easier to get into than ever!

by ensuring that the ground rules establishing when consent is necessary during the course of business are understood by all parties, and enforceable by means of withdrawing labor when that consent is not respected.
Workin on only allowing myself to use my one handed keyboard for typing across all my devices to improve my typing speed and accuracy. Getting a lot faster with coding.
