Day one and I'm already homesick :P
Anyone in #hastings wanna hang out and talk weird tech and or transhumanism this week?
hot take: I'm not a fan of "fish and chips"

After 3.5 years, #PeerSky v1.0.0 is finally here 🎉
Create information. Share it directly with peers. Access it anywhere. Even when the internet goes down.
All power corrupts. Power should be distributed. PeerSky is more than a browser; it's a new foundation for the web. That's how we save the internet and build better societies, one peer at a time.
Try it out! 👉 https://peersky.p2plabs.xyz/
Jealous of europeans since they get access to the fancy nitrous oxide monster energy drink flavors all they want.
Found a guy doing FPV at the beach and he liked checking out my wearable computing setup. Feels really natural to walk around in mixed realities. Especially with how easy it is to move the screen into the corner without needing fancy window managers.

wake me up when some doctor invents cool implants or something i guess
One thing they don't tell you about polyamory is how much work it is to make time for everyone before a long trip :P
I love being a clueless tourist and getting lost on public transit. At least I can actually speak the language here!
Woop. Got my mastodon instance back up. I really need to figure out why that cron job for running maintenance still doesn't work. 🤷

Painfully slow for now but still, it works, manipulating the content of (flat) windows in XR hands-free https://video.benetou.fr/w/tdL1S1M6twakH2nj77z7Qy using just open-source CLI tools on the Frame.
Low information people coopting terms from very specific contexts irks me a little.
Once I get my matrix chat and email client stuff sorted out (using daemons with encrypted storage) I'll focus harder on microphone input and voice control. Especially now that I have a functional microphone on my face!
Got my XReal One Pro Plus today. I love it! The onboard head tracking is a total game changer. Especially with the virtual curved display and my Niri desktop environment's infinite horizontal scroll. It feels natural to look around my windows and navigate using my twiddler one handed keyboard. #ar #cyberdeck
I love books that couldn't be turned into a movie because of how weird and convoluted they are. 🤤 You just can't cram as much weird shit into two hours or less.

Stardust running on Frame and built on Frame.
Because again you don't need another computer to modify your (virtual) environment, you can do it all on the device itself.
Pisses me off how I can't use my bank's app without being forced to use that phone as my "two step verification" device. 😡
Setting up my travel phone is a pain in the ass but it'll be worth it to not have to deal with installing all the travel related BS onto my main phone.

Texas turning blue was not on my bingo card 🤪
