teeth, cavities
Day one of not starting my day with cola pop or energy drinks since a big hunk of my tooth fell off and I don't want to make it worse.
I am absolutely dependent on the caffeine and sugar in these things. 😭

@nonlinear Yeah, I've failed to quit pop a couple of times now so I might as well try again. :P
I'm thankfully already a major water drinker. Got a 3 liter water bottle that I'm chugging from all day.

@mauve ah you're better off than me.
I'd think harm reduction instead of abstinence. The less the better

@mauve oh fuck that sounds real bad :(
can i recommend alternatives for yer caffeine? yerba mate, matcha latte, and different kinds of green tea are very nice alternatives ime
re: teeth, cavities
Just cutting out the sugar will help so much though and you'll likely feel better in general! As @cblgh mentioned mate and green tea are nice low-acid options for caffeine and if you need a little more kick cold brew coffee seems to have a much lower acid content than 'regular' coffee

@mauve soda used to be my only source of caffeine, along the day.
I slowly moved from coffee in the morning, and water, water, water. And if I need sweets, eat a dessert (I never craved it).
It's possible. In fact it doesn't hurt much. I thought withdrawal would be *intense*, but it's not the case.
