My self-hosted indieweb streaming channel is at 20 simultaneous viewers right now, and our servers are doing great. Could you do me a favor and hit up https://live.retrostrange.com right now, share this, and watch for a few minutes? It's a variety of old film strips, odd shorts, educational content, with a lot of classic horror and sci-fi.

I quickly did a mock-up (not competle) of trying to do a more better branding for the #Fediverse
Of crouse the Fediverse icon was made by Eukombos, I added the texts to it. Any feedback or suggestion to improve it or even go for different direction is welcome!
Thanks for @misc@mastodon.social and @futurebird@sauropods.win for inspiring me to do it!

@yuki2501 If you have an Android device, NewPipe is a great client.
@j3rn I'm probably going to add smtp and the such as protocol handlers in Agregore and go from there :P
@j3rn honestly I might just make my own client at this point

Any graphical #KDE apps out there that support the system #calendar that aren't based on Kontact? I find it uses like 2 gigs of ram when idle for no reason I can see.
Tried using Evolution but it keeps getting GNOME related errors on Steam OS and it's Plasma UI. Others seem to rely on GNOME features too or are proprietary 😭
visualizing both the origin of data and the interconnectedness of data seems like a hard to challenge.
have you tried drawing up some interface ideas already?
maybe having two modes where you start by exploring the data as is but then can toggle seeing where the data comes from and a separate network graph for interconnected peers be useful
@technobaboo Love em! When they were first released I was like "Whoa, you can do that?!"
Sadly I haven't had a chance to use them in my projects since I'm usually interfacing with other libraries that have their own opinions on serialization.
@hanbzu There's a lot of approaches with different tradeoffs and I like exploring what folks have done and seeing how it applies to my work. :) Especially when it comes to stuff like content addressing or schemas. Just something I've had to dig into a lot throughout my career.
@cblgh it's fun! I' actually wearing my Rokid Max now so I can do some work on my steam deck in the park.
@jonny how big a graph? :o
@jonny eh, I generally look like an alien when I go out so I usually don't care as much. Also! Putting them over your chest or or your back is underrated 🥰
Occult Enby that's making local-first software with peer to peer protocols, mesh networks, and the web.
