Another thing we did last weekend in Berlin: redeployed Cinnamon’s seasonal clock, with some adjustments so that there are matching emoji for every hour of the day: https://seasonalclock.org
(this is a global clock where it’s the same ‘hour’ everywhere around the world, e.g. I am posting this at blossom hour, no matter where you are. It is a scheduling toy for an existing group of friends.)

And you could crop it so, for example, a bird doesn't disappear in mid-flight, but then it looks unbalanced so you need to find some unobtrusive way for the bird to disappear so it appears natural?

It'd be cool if all the chat apps could be consumed with fediverse bridges with private indexed activityfeeds as the consumer api. Then you could take all your data and dynamically view it either as twitter, a chat. Reddit, w/e else based on what you're feeling in the moment
Walking around with my samsung dex set up chatting with folks and reading blogs was a success. Got my flesh suit some outdoor time to boot.
I look like a complete and total weirdo doing it, but the glasses are just a small part of that aspect 😅

Walking around outside I appreciate trees more and more. Their shade is so lovely under the hot sun and they do such a good job of shaping the breeze and smells of an area.

I don't think an alternative is impossible but it's disheartening to see the lack of efforts to find alternatives by "land developers".
