My main win from using wayland natively is that my speech to text with `ydotool` now gets affected by keyboard modifyers. If I want to quit an application I hit my left bumper (mapped to ctrl) on my controller and say `quebec`. If I want to open my terminal I hit R4 and say "tango". Toggling my STT is R4+A (return jkey).

With this I am more effective with stt+controller than my mini bt keyboard. 🥳

Eventually I want to get a screen reader involved to more effectively navigate content.

@stardustxr is doing great things for making your baseline OS desktop environment 3d-friendly.

This was a really promising project but it kinda crashed chasing crypto and ai hype. Their baseline for representing virtual projects and social features is super cool though. github.com/webaverse

I don't think I'd make a good warlord because my strategy is to grow big as fast as possible and crush my foes with might. More nuance and politica is way to frustrating in comparison. Mostly in Civ and Magic The Gathering

I love that feeling when I change to a new input device and have to start relearning the muscle memory for all of my keyboard shortcuts.

Still need to figure out an input device however. I really want a controller based input scheme to start so I don't need to deal with hand tracking and all that.

@screaminggoat @mttaggart conversely, as someone who works in cyber insurance, and sees that the amount of data held is one of the biggest drivers of incident costs, I’d *love* to see less personal data being held by companies and moved around.

Been doing a bit better at letting my body rest when sick instead of pushing through but the productivity hit so frustrating. An entire day and then some lost to a cold TT_TT

Good news! The replies index in the social inbox seems to be working. social.dp.chanterelle.xyz/v1/@

With this static websites can easily link to the replies collection of their posts without needing to recompile for every reply. AP clients or instances can then pull those replies into their thread view. Next up we'll be rolling this out to sutty sites and pulling them in reader.distributed.press
