Dyslexics have used speech recognition to solve spelling issues ever since speech recognition became available. It used to be standalone speech recognition, not "calling back" to servers that were harvesting your vocabulary, writing, and voice to train AI.

But it was a fight to get speech recognition in schools, in the workplace. Why? Because of ableism. Temporarily "free" genAI founded on stolen data doesn't solve #ableism.

The tech titans of today are products of the industrial-capitalist mindset.

They think in terms of market dominance, shareholder value, and control.

Even their grand visions-- like Musk’s Mars colonization or Zuck’s metaverse-- are often tainted by a top-down approach that centralizes power and perpetuates inequality.

Stay human. Stay collaborative. You aren’t building empires, you’re building ecosystems.
