@gwynnion I think rather than human beings and their intelligence, what the AI folks really want is slaves that cannot rebel and can be ordered to perform tasks and replace humans that still have hopes of rebelling.
18. This "neural band" is neat. It can be programmed to recognise hand gestures and output keyboard events. Could be a good companion for my twiddler so I can type with my left and navigate with my right. https://mudra-band.com/pages/mudra-link-main
The lack of functional discovery features on Mastodon is so nice. One of the worst experiences on Bluesky is making a post and then 18 hours later completely random people start Discovering it. And they're almost never happy to see it, nor do they remotely understand the intent or context. Make a post for your friends on Bluesky and wake up the next morning to a bunch of messages from mystery people along the lines of "why did you post this??". And I just want to know well why did you read it??
@jsbarretto Yeah that's fair. I just use the smallest dose to give me a bit of focus during work. Been doing a good job reworking my life to make the symptoms less of a problem in recent years. Mostly switching so I can quit caffeine.
@jsbarretto Yeah alarms + snooze / reschedule is such a life saver. I basically live by the calendar. Maybe this is the opportunity for you to schedule doing your form! 😸 I finally got my doctor calls done just now.
@jsbarretto So real. 😭 I've been trying to use my partners as reminder systems but even that's hard cause the timing needs to align.
Occult Enby that's making local-first software with peer to peer protocols, mesh networks, and the web.
Yap with me and send me cool links relating to my interests. 👍
