Dear abled people, if you see a person with a disability out and about with their service dog please, for the love of PEET, let the dog do its job! It may come as a surprise but people trust their service dogs more than they trust some random, and I'm sure well-meaning stranger. The dog knows and has been taught how, to safely and best help their person. This toot brought to you by the uber driver who almost made me fall because he grabbed at me while my service dog was helping me over uneven pavements. SERIOUSLY, if you want to help, ask, if the person says no or doesn't reply, then PLEASE DON't TOUCH!
I genuinely forget I stand out or look unusual in the slightest. Then I remember a lot of people can't even get employment due to their piercings and tattoos and queer disposition. 🙃 Yay for internet jobs I guess?

These Microsoft based "silica disks" that store 4.8TB of data are pretty cool, but the density is kinda crappy for consumer uses.
Can't wait for these "5d memory crystals" to become viable for consumers. Gotta hook it up to my seedboxes and media library :P
Literally just tried to use my one handed keyboard to navigate this window when I noticed the notifs through the terminal I have open on my face. 🤪
Gotten to the point where I'm wearing my head mounted display hooked into my cyberdeck puck while I also have my handheld cyberdeck docked to my monitor. Gotta remember which keyboard to use and which program is open where sometimes.

@mauve There's also the space bar that would scroll down a whole screenful when pressed. I remember the times when browsers would try to make the top window edge align with the start of a line. But now websites have all these overlays and scrolling gimmicks that it rarely ever works. :(
What do folks with physical #accessibility needs do about apps that seem to only scroll reliably with a mouse scroll wheel? I feel like a lot of them entirely ignore page up/down keys and overrload arrow keys to do more than scroll one line at a time. Mastodon web is pretty annoying for this.
I just want sugar free beverages without the artificial sweeteners. Gimme the raw chemical soup.
I love when the keyboard shortcuts fall into unconscious actions. Opening and navigating my desktop are mostly automatic with my one handed keyboard now. Sadly typing text still takes some focus unlike my thumb based keyboard on my GPD Win 4
@kevinr Yeah! And they keep making the search features worse so I can't even find the things I want directly anymore. 💀 Like, just let me do full text search without converting it to an embedding vector first amirite?
@fredy_pferdi Maybe? I configured the parameters according to what the README suggested. Sadly I'm not sure if I can improve template configs at this time since that's being handled inside ollama. though I had similar issues with whatever templates the OpenRouter endpoints had before this.
@roknrol Yeah agreed cold turkey could be viable. Do you think you could pair it with being out in nature or something to reduce your access to cigs and just get out of the routine? I found changing my environment such that the vice became more inaccessible has helped in the past.
Also agreed re: running in place. It's so much easier to incorporate it in a routine if it has a function outside of "exercise". I gotta figure out how to integrate weight training still. Maybe weighted cuffs?

In the algorithmic world, the act of interacting actively reshapes the systems associations closer to your embedding within them. Regularly listening to obscure tracks adds a bunch of my faves to their "recommended next" lists.
