Been practicing logging into my sbc and starting the screen reader without a display. 💪 Getting decent muscle memory though I mess up some of the keys on my chorded keyboard with my pinky
You really can't appreciate how much 12 keys dedicated to "function keys" is until you have to map all of them on a chorded keyboard.

Gonna slop up a speech-dispatcher based notification server so I can hear notifications from apps without needing a full graphical session.
Adjusted my nanorc to be more screen reader friendly. Also made speech-dispatched speak all the special characters so I know wtf is actually on the screen. Might want to extend my reader to handle reading camel case and snake case along with how it pitches up for capitalized words.
It's not even that I like #OpenSource software just for the freedom. Proprietary software keeps getting worse while open source gets less buggy. Just a few months ago I had problems that are non issues now since someone fixed them for free without trying to get me dependant on some subscription service for it.

So, my observations on #meshtastic and #meshcore so far:
Meshtastic seems like the thing you'd bring on a trip. Excellent for adhoc communication in a smaller area without any established network. One firmware does it all. Very chatty and limited to only 3 jumps, making long distance a challenge. Bring it on a trekking trip or a multi vehicle road trip. Great for tactical and ad hoc deployment.
MeshCore is less ad hoc. While the companion firmware can talk directly to each other, the network's backbone are devices with the repeater firmware. MeshCore supports routing discovery (with fallback) and limits unnecessary repeating by enabling only specific regions. When you have up to 64 hops available, messages intended for your neighborhood shouldn't be repeated to the next city over. Configure this right, and it scales like crazy. Use MeshCore at home. Put a repeater on your roof. Build a consistent mesh and a community. This is where MeshCore shines.

@lutindiscret @sarahjamielewis @Vivaldi @akhileshthite @melroy I built @agregore on Electron because it's fast to iterate and has full support for custom protocol handlers. There's no equivalent on other engines and forking/compiling from source is a major pain (I did this for ungoogled chromium on mobile).
