In light of GitHub going full genAI agents, which will likely lead to a flood of garbage PRs that will make dependabot nags a joke:
Would other foss maintainers with projects on GitHub be interested in some kind of event where we all get together and try moving our projects over to @Codeberg?
I’m thinking of it as a way to both promote our foss projects, provide mutual support during the moves, find solutions to small cuts we run into along the way, and just generally have fun together?

Recommendation systems are so funny. I looked up how to do fourier transforms like 5 months ago and it keeps trying to feed me more. It's like Noh Face from spirited away trying to offer bits of gold.
In this case Ubuntu 22.04 and Python 3.11 seems to be doing the trick. 🤪
Fuck I really love that the reader mode works more consistently in Agregore now 💜

Meta have been asking some users to confirm their identity with a 'video selfie', & for supposed account recovery. Soon, more users will be asked with threat of blocking or deleting their account as Meta prepares to launch their facial recog glasses (soon on shelves).
But it's not just about feeding their new product. Meta are harvesting biometric data on a vast scale, perhaps globally, & in full cohort with a dangerous regime.

The cool thing about writing code is that the computer is doing exactly what you tell it to do.
The cool thing about debugging code is slowly learning what you actually told the computer to do.
It sucks that computers get too intimidated to misbehave around me sometimes because I really need to reproduce these bugs 🤪 Luckily my main one is never to shy to just randomly shut down while I'm in the middle of typing a long post.
