@nitinkhanna Most of my spelling errors are thanks to the android keyboard actually :P I find my accuracy is much better with the physical one though it's slower than a two handed keyboard.

When I was little there was a big weeping willow tree on my street & I was terrified of it. I was convinced the branches were gonna scoop me up and swallow me whole.

One day I got brave & went up to it...and it swallowed me, I've been inside the tree ever since, it's pretty nice in here actually

@nitinkhanna Haven't used the NPU yet but I hope to this week. It's a chorded keyboard so you press multiple buttons to output a key, fully customizable. Jard to learn but convenient. The screen is a competitor to XReal yes. The built in diopters are nice for sharing with glasses wearers but I think I'll get an xreal next time I upgrade :o You can use it with anything that supports usb-c displayport (like samsung phones)

@reaversion it's a 5.0 receiver 🥲 I'm surprised the keyboard (released last year) uses such an old BT protocol. Also surprised that BT isn't more backwards compatible? 🥲🥲🥲 At least I can still use it wired

Fuck my chungus life apparently my keyboard has bluetooth 2.0 and my computer only supports 4+ 😭

Yippee I got a new computer. It's like a chonky credit card. Just gotta get a pass through battery for it and figure out mobile internet. My apple trackpad might make a comeback to supplement my one handed keyboard which is gonna be my new primary input device

Windows 12 is due to come out this year.

1) Your computer does not meet the system requirements. Again.

Why?

Your PC will need a dedicated NPU — a specialized processor designed to handle AI tasks. So, if you recently bought a new PC just to use Windows 11, Microsoft wants you to go shopping again.

2) It will finally, unfortunately, introduce a subscription model.

That's right — you read that correctly. They want you to pay and keep paying to use the computer you just bought. Technically, you won’t own your computer while Windows is installed.

NOW is the time to try Linux. Stop waiting. Don’t make excuses. Don’t even complain — we all knew this day was coming. Either try Linux, or admit you’re Microsoft’s little bitch.

Source? Yes, this is real.

Came across this cool based screen reader for Linux. Their approach seems compatible with what I've been wanting.

@mcr314 Try looking at the accounts on their own instance via your web browser. They're likely just new to your instance and it hasn't received data from them before or had to load any of their posts via other users on your instance interacting with them.

All paths lead to oblivion. Take your satisfaction where you can.

Sheesh. Not the night for joyscrolling apparently.

live old school acid house music 🥰 Thankful I live in a big city.

Been working on my scifi book I want to write. Starting with a wiki to get my facts straight, then I'll start posting small stories and eventually I'll try to weave it into a narrative

Tbh my blog posts are just infodumps I give folks in meatspace but condensed so I don't have to repeat myself ad much :P

Woof. My next blog post on the ID verification trend is gonna be pretty *political* 😱

This is a neat tool for reading your notifications out loud. It's amazing what people are willing to give away for free! I am going a little crazy with all the notifs I get though :P
