Organizing communities online is a great idea but there's gotta be a way to do it without the addictive doomscrolling dunk fest.

Genuinely think the web is best run by the obsessive and deranged. Happy people should spend most of their time interacting in meatspace as God intended.

Do you know what's not accessible? Writing "a11y" in any article or documentation

I will accept it as a convenience in APIs since developers are lazy and can't spell, but fuck off with using it in text

I'm hoping the next big social trend will be to log off and touch grass so that the weirdos can reclaim the net again

When Blind people send emoji to Blind people, we are picking a text description from a list and receiving the same.
Let's become ungovernable. Simply type the emoji in text.
While you're at it, include emoji that do not exist.
Melting popsicle.
Broken umbrella.
Crying horse.
Pizza rat.

We really can do anything

@humberto I was thinking more along the lines of embedding meshcore directly and exposing a high level api. 🤔 The code for this should be a good place for me to start though. Ty!

Would it be weird if I forked this lisp firmware for my t-deck and added some mesh network stuff? 👉👈🥺

@brandon Big mood. I've been messing more with LoRa based mesh networks, but some groups that focus on internet censorship won't consider something that doesn't work with existing consumer hardware which is pretty frustrating.

@cleeyv Yup! Been looking into it more lately. Sadly I've had trouble getting the code to work with JS since the canonical Python implementation is a bit hard to follow. I wanna get it into @agregore some time soon for resolving nomadnet URLs and rendering `.mu` files

Instead of "is it decentralized" I'm more interested in "can it work off-grid".

@agowa338 All of these! Check out the protocols in @agregore for example. Also been looking into a lot lately

It's not enough to circumvent internet censorship by making new tunnels to the internet. We should be building on foundations that don't have these single points of failure in the first place.

New moon tonight. Review how the past month has gone and how you want the new one to happen.

I used Seedance 2.0 to make this entirely new scene for the movie "Cars." Movies are so cooked. Movies are so done. People will stop watching movies and instead watch my prompts.

@nasser IMO this speaks more to LLMs not actually being able to replace humans long term. For some stuff maybe, but they fundamentally can't do the things experienced programmers do. 🤷 Even IBM is starting to hire juniors again cause they realized the golden goose is BS

@nasser It's definitely the lower skilled developers that get the most excited by it. But then they get trapped in that they don't actually develop the skills they need.

Baking is Alchemy. Soup is Witchcraft. Frying is Chaos Magic

My smart ring says I gotike 10 hours of sleep last night. Much needed given I only got like six the two nights before

@thejikz @futurebird Say more! I would have thought stick bugs would be easier to wrangle given their size
