The more I make my computer more usable for my llm the more I make it usable for me because I can do more in the shell.
Any suggestions for mastodon cli apps that aren't super noisy or take up the full terminal?
Pisses me off how inacessible android apps are when you don't have a touchscreen or mouse. Navigating list views is hell. 💀 Maybe I can get some termux utils for my apps instead so it can actually be usable. 🤪
@jcsteh @TheQuinbox @mew My ebook reader has pauses in between paragraphs from rendering the next bit of speech that drive me bonkers. Currently figuring how to stream some text in this neural net based TTS so it can be actually passable. 😭

At my organisation, Copilot for MS Teams transcription (or whatever it’s called) is now disabled org-wide because there was a scare based on the fact that Copilot “hallucinated” something that was not said at this meeting, which was then actioned by a non-attendee as a real point.
Thankfully, whatever this was, was caught before it was fulfilled/implemented by someone who does governance checks, but hahah it’s really darkly comic to think that we could have done something that nobody asked for and nobody wanted because Microsoft’s shitbot inserted it in a transcript
Rly thankful I get to sleep in tomorrow. Wish there was a magic "sleep more efficiently" pill I clould take to feel more rested with my usual amount.
Been playing BlazBlue on thursdays with my pal. I really suck at fighting games but I'm getting a little better. I sometimes remember to actually use the block button now. 😝

I use my local LLM to type out the code changes I would have made myself to save myself extra RSI pain in my hands. I keep a tight watch on each change so it doesn't diverge from my expectations.

One of the many reasons why you can’t let private enterprise handle public services is that they are incentivized by profit and one of the ways they increase profitability is to find new ways to deny or limit service, while taking the same amount of money. Corporations are not more efficient in delivering service, they are more ruthless in denying it.
@TheQuinbox Oh snap! are the emulators accessible to your system reader then? I have dreams of stitching all my devices into one accessibility tree that I can traverse at my own pace and forget that windows and desktops exist entirely.
@TheQuinbox Nice :P I keep most of my boxes in the closet an SSH or VNC into them to keep stuff less crowded. Do you use the phones directly for testing or can you remote into them and still interact with your screen reader?
@bscross32 Brutal. 😭 I made my own harness partly because the ones I was using really messed up my screen reader. The streaming token rendering meant each sentence was being fully repeated each time a token was added. 💀

@mariusor I guess a more satisfying post would have been "I am frustrated that recent linux distros I've used have poor audio quality when I use a bluetooth headset's microphone compared to proprietary OSs with the same headset". 🤪
@mariusor Oh I see, I didn't realize you were asking a specific question. I still think my statement stands becuase although it's a lot better now than it was years ago, it's still not as good as the proprietary OSs out of the box and seems to have had issues for a while. E.g. the person in the thread I linked got tired of trying to advocate for their fixes to be merged and started saying that if people want a bt headset they should avoid using Linux.
