2 AM pizza pockets with onion chip dip hits just right.

work fatigue

Ugh I can feel my fingers getting destroyed as I type up these grants and codes. Breaking my body and soul apart for my ambition and the enternal grind of capitalism. slowly turning myself into a vibrating pulp.

Is it balance if it's an on off switch with an infinite amplitude?

@heapwolf Super cool. Is there somewhere I can find the holepunching code?

@anildash I don't think enough people have realized how incredibly valuable the robust universal sandboxing provided by WASM is going to be

I genuinely don't want to run code written by other people that's NOT in a sandbox at this point: even if I trust them, do I also trust them not to have written any bugs?

WASM to me represents the freedom to run code on my machines again!

@heapwolf Is the phone on the same network? Would it work over the cellular connection?

@todrobbins @sef :ooo Neat, I'll add it to my reading list.

I've been thinking of doing stuff along these lines by partitioning the p2p swarm into a quadtree to reduce number of connections needed per player and controlling movement delta fidelity based on proximity.

#PineTab2 software progress :)

Come check it out at our @fosdem stall 4 & 5 February!

Give me smaller, simpler, slower software, written by fewer people, under less pressure, intended for longer service. Please!

Hey XR friends. If you're waiting for Apple to deliver an iPhone moment then I humbly suggest that instead you focus on open web standards for XR on a variety of hardware. It isn't just that we don't want another hypercorp silo, it's that Papa Apple no longer has what it takes.

I get it cats, I also sleep all day long and maniac-run at 3am when I feel guilty I haven't exercised in a while.

@gaycodegal regarding what you said about "dealing with accessibility cross system otherwise is a nightmare" without web apps, that's kinda the conclusion I always come to as well. :/ If I had the big bucks it would probably be possible to make something new, but until then web is just the easiest option.

@chrysn The data structure we're using is kind of like a CRDT already, but it can certainly be used in conjunction with other CRDTs for merging state for individual values. :o

@garbados That seems like the most pragmatic option. If anything there's other stuff you can plug in for the network if you really want it. :o

Hole punching is something you might want to think seriously about though (maybe reusing something?) since it's one of the most important bits for p2p UX IMO.

@rrix Replace three docker compose / k8 files worth of configuration with a single SQL file making a couple of materialized views. 🤪

pet snakes

I love my snakes so much they're so cute.

Gummy got embarrassed last it fed and gave up, but this time it went right for it.

Also petunia finally shed so she's next on the munching block.

Gummy was usually pretty flaky with eating in past years around this season so I think the adjustments I made to its terrarium helped for which I am grateful.

@jonny Do note that their popup blocker code lets through a bunch of Microsoft/Google/Yahoo stuff at the source code level and their source isn't really compileable without using their private infrastructure at the moment.

But I assume that's not a dealbreaker for most folks. :P

@jonny kiwibrowser.com/ is the best option for that so far.

I was hoping to find some funding this year to add that functionality to @agregore tho.

@p @Hyolobrika@berserker.town I'm in no rush. Whenever it's ready, it's ready. 🙏 It'll be cool to compare with other approaches in the space.
