NEW: Researchers used a hardware-based attack to jailbreak Tesla's infotainment system, which gave them the ability to get upgrades that would cost $$$ for free.

App developers, I am BEGGING you to provide web versions and not force us to do our work on tiny screens and thumb-type everything. This goes triple for apps that are restricted to just one of the two major corporate mobile platforms.
For many if not most, this should be readily possible, given how many apps are websites with app wrappers.
I gladly pay for or donate to software that helps me...
@yosh I wonder if it'll be useful for reducing how much lithium will need to be extracted from mines on indigenous land at least.
4. Since I'm really liking my Rokid Max, I might get their Rokid Station device which they're marketing as an Android TV for AR headsets. I could probably get termux on this thing at least. https://www.forbes.com/sites/bensin/2023/08/02/rokid-station-is-the-first-android-tv-box-for-ar-glasses-and-it-works/?sh=1894b1d05cde

I'm thankfully already a major water drinker. Got a 3 liter water bottle that I'm chugging from all day.
@codinghorror I think producs like the XReal Beam which let you hook up existing devices that output to 2D screens but have them displayed in 3DoF around you with resizing are going to be a better path than these "lets reinvent operating systems from scratch" approaches. At least in the near term.
Having something that gets all your existing data on your face and adding spatial after the fact seems like a smoother path.
Occult Enby that's making local-first software with peer to peer protocols, mesh networks, and the web.
